The Rangers face-off against the Atlanta Thrashers tonight at Philips Arena (7:30 p.m.), in their fourth and final matchup of the regular season. The Blueshirts currently rank fourth in the Atlantic Division standings, and ninth in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 29-29-9 (67 pts.). The Rangers enter tonight's contest having been defeated by the New Jersey Devils, 6-3, on Wednesday at the Prudential Center, and have now registered a point in six of their last nine contests, posting a record of 4-3-2 (10 pts.) over the span. The Thrashers enter the contest with a 28-28-10 (66 pts.) record to rank 10th in the Eastern Conference. Following tonight's contest, the Rangers return home to begin a three-game homestand on Sunday, Mar. 14, when they will face-off against the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden (3:00 p.m.), in a matchup between Atlantic Division opponents.
