Tonight's Game

The Rangers begin a three-game homestand tonight when they face-off against the Washington Capitals at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.). The Blueshirts currently rank fourth in the Atlantic Division standings, and 10th in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 25-25-7 (57 pts.). The Rangers enter tonight's contest having been defeated by the Los Angeles Kings, 2-1, on Tuesday at Staples Center, to wrap up their three-game Western Conference road trip with a 1-2-0 mark. The Capitals enter the contest riding a franchise record 11-game winning streak, and have posted a 38-12-6 (82 pts.) record to rank first in the Eastern Conference. Following tonight's game, the Rangers will continue their three-game homestand on Saturday, Feb. 6, vs. the New Jersey Devils at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.), and will conclude the homestand on Wednesday, Feb. 10, vs. the Nashville Predators (7:00 p.m.).
