Tonight’s Game
The Rangers face-off against the Dallas Stars tonight at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.), in the first game of a back-to-back set. The Blueshirts currently rank third in the Atlantic Division standings, and seventh in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 20-17-5 (45 pts.). The Rangers enter today's contest having defeated the Boston Bruins, 3-2, on Monday at Madison Square Garden, and have now recorded a point in eight of their last nine contests (6-1-2). The Stars enter the contest with an 18-13-11 (47 pts.) record, and rank 10th in the Western Conference. Following tonight's game, the Rangers will face-off against the Atlanta Thrashers tomorrow, Jan. 7, at Philips Arena (7:00 p.m.), in their sixth game in nine days.
