Tonight’s Game

The Rangers face-off against the Atlanta Thrashers tonight at Philips Arena (7:00 p.m.), in their sixth game in nine days. The Blueshirts currently rank third in the Atlantic Division standings, and seventh in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 21-17-5 (47 pts.). The Rangers enter tonight's contest having defeated the Dallas Stars, 5-2, yesterday at Madison Square Garden, and have now recorded a point in nine of their last 10 contests (7-1-2). The Thrashers enter the contest with an 18-18-6 (42 pts.) record, and rank 11th in the Eastern Conference. Following tonight's game, the Rangers will face-off against the Boston Bruins on Saturday, Jan. 9, at TD Garden (1:00 p.m.), in an Original Six matinee matchup.
